Journaling/Vintage Photo Challenge

Challenge: Create a page using a vintage photo and/or incorporating the voice/words of an older family member.

Years ago i took a class on life writing, and one of the projects was an oral history project. I chose to interview my grandmother, who grew up in plantation-era Maui. This page includes her childhood recollections and her memories of her mother, with whom she is pictured.

There will be a $10 gift card to JBS Mercantile randomly awarded to one participant of this challenge.  To be entered to win you must post an image of your layout that meets this challenge or a link to to it on this thread.  You will have until 7pm CST on Sunday, March 13th to complete this challenge.

I am lucky enough to have some wonderful old family photos. This photo is of my grandmother and a friend - I love their hats. I remember my grandmother always wearing a hat to church on Sunday.

This is amazing!  I love it!
Firstly, I LOVE that photo -- what a treasure!  Secondly, this page is fantastic.  Everything comes together perfectly.  The lace? The buttons?  The thread?  SO very lovely.
Love the use of the vintage elements -- so much texture!  I need to work on that!
